Feeling the Love for Heavenly Father's children

We have been visiting a part member family that is also less active.  The soon to be wife is the non-member, and they have come to church the last two weeks, and Sunday she sat by me in Relief Society and we talked about the Temple.  She seemed interested, but also overwhelmed.  Afterwards I turned to her and told her that I knew it was a bit overwhelming, but that we could help her understand.  I asked if we could come and teach her and her family.  She said "Yes, I would really like that." I'm super excited about it.  I know that this gospel only pulls families together and I know it will help them more than she can even imagine.  They are super busy with their wedding coming up in two weeks, but we think it might give us some opportunites to serve them.
We saw Tabitha again this week and it went really well.  She is still upset with God for taking her husband away.  She is blocking out her emotions and we hope we help her realize the love God has for her.  I invited her to be baptized and she said if she finds out it is true she will be, but baby steps.  I honestly believe that once they start making and keeping commitments they will start to see the blessings from it.  Sometimes I just wish they could feel what is in my heart, then they would know how amazing this gospel is.  Just as Alma felt, "Oh that I were an angel, and could have the wish of mine heart...that they would repent and come unto our God, that there might not be more sorrow upon all the face of the earth." If only they would read the Book of Mormon and hear the message it contains..that Jesus is the Savior and through Him we may find happiness and success in THIS life and in the life to come.

Pics for the week

I've always wanted a huge squirrel in my yard!  We took this at a less active family's home.  We are teaching Areal so she can be baptized.

I just had to take this picture.  This lady has a dog attached to the front of her.  She honks at everyone.

Sister Jones and I on P-Day.  I'm rocking my cowboy boots!

Thank you Sister Sessions

Today the reason I am writing so late is because  Sister Sessions took us to Lake Shatek for the day.  She is so great! Really, I don't know what we would do without her.  She is always taking us somewhere or doing something for us.  The Lake was beautiful and the trees and all were so green.  For the first time on my mission I saw why maybe someone would live here. Ha ha. No, but it was really beautiful.

This is Sister Young

We finally got to have exchanges this week, which I have been looking forward to for what seems like forever.  Mostly because the sister missionary I was with, leaves next week home.  She is an incredible missionary with a lot of experience.  She is the happiest person I have ever met.  No joke.  She is more happy than Natalie Green....ha ha and I really love her!  We spent Wednesday and Thursday together mostly visiting members she knew, but we got to teach a few LA, RC, and one Investigator.  She understands what it is like to be a new missionary and what you go through, so we spent that night just talking.  She was really uplifting and motivating for me.  I wish we could have gotten to serve together.
